Awake peaked at #31 on the Gaon Charts in 2016, and is the only song to peak at Billboard real time charts at #1.

epiphany

Epiphany is the next solo song from Seokjin, which was released as a comeback trailer for BTS' Love Yourself: Answer album. This piece along with its serene and emotional music video was released August 9, 2018, which was then followed by the release of the actual album that came out later that month. Following through with the general theme of the comeback album, the pop-rock melody talks of self love all the while once more showing the vocal range displayed by Jin, who belts out the iconic lyrics "I'm the one I should love, in this world, shining me, precious soul of mine", giving out a message to everyone of the importance of loving yourself above all before any other relationship.

Epiphany is the 2nd longest solo in Gaon Digital Chart(10 weeks) with more than 90M digital index and is BTS' 10th most popular song overall. This track had also charted in Melon 4 months after its release with no promo at all. This song along with Jungkook's 'Euphoria' are the only BTS Solo tracks on iTunes' Cumulative Popularity Chart

tonight

Tonight is a self produced song by Seokjin which was releaed June 5th, 2019, for BTS' Anniversary on Soundcloud. The highly anticipated song is a soft spoken ballad filled with guitars and the vulnerability of Seokjin's power voice that did not fail to warm the hearts of everyone who hears it. Seokjin himself had even left a note on the Soundcloud link, saying "Tonight is a song I wrote while thinking about my pets. It's my first produced song, I hope you liked it. I'll work hard to produce again next time in order to let you hear a good song. Thank you ARMY."

Tonight has been registered towards the Korean Music Copyright Association, which then recognized Jin as a producer. This wonderful arrangement also is the fastest song to reach a million streams in only 30 minutes, and the third most streamed Soundcloud song in 24 hours. Today, the song stands strong with 27.9M streams, 574k likes, and 57.7k reposts, yet to break another record before its Anniversary.

dream glow

Dream Glow is the first released single from BTS World's OST. The song features Seokjin, Jungkook and Jimin, along with Western Artist Charli XCX, as the pop song originally written by Charli, talks of the wonders of dreams.

moon

Moon is the third solo from Seokjin, released February 21, 2020 along with the chart topping album Map of the Soul: 7 by BTS. This pop rock song talks about Seokjin being the moon to his great love, ARMY. But do not be fooled by the happy tones and bright facade, for the lyrics to this song are blue, and Korean ARMYs even say this may be one of the saddest songs on the album. Seokjin and those who he has co-written with explain Seokjin as the moon, wanting people to only see the visible side, comparing this to his and BTS' persona. Yet he is also afraid of what people would think if they saw this other side of him, a person with wounds and flaws.

Despite only 3 months after its release, Moon has been doing a significantly great job on the charts, breaking Epiphany's records for most #1's. This is also the highest charting b-side from MOTS:7 with 22 number 1's and counting

covers

Aside from self produced covers, this BTS member has also uploaded some heart catching covers through the years on BTS' Soundcloud page.

On May 8th of 2015, Seokjin had released his first ever cover, Eomma by Ra.D for Parent's Day. Along with his honey like voice, he tells ARMYs "“Today is a day to be thankful to our parents. I’m a little nervous posting a cover song for the first time on a meaningful day like this. How about everyone get up right now and say a word of thanks to your parents! It’s great that I’m able to express my thanks in this way at the least.”

In 2015, Seokjin had uploaded a cover of I Love You by Mate on his birthday as a gift for ARMYs. Kim writes as a message "I covered a song called “I Love You,” and it’s a song I’ve liked a lot since my trainee days. It moved me a lot when I heard it for the first time, and when thinking about what song I would show you on my birthday, I thought what better song than this to tell ARMY how I feel; I usually like saying “I like you” more, but at least for today, I want to say “I love you.”"

Following the release and success of the WINGS album, Seokjin had uploaded a Christmas version of his solo song Awake, once again captivating the hearts of everyone with this holiday themed present from Seokjin himself.

On the 5th of June in 2018, Seokjin had released a cover of the song Autumn Outside the Post Office by Yoon Dohyun for BTS' Anniversary celebration. The song starts off slow with a harmonica before reaching a dramatic climax, showcasing once more the wonderful vocal range BTS' vocalist posseses

faqs

Seokjin's so chaotic! he's such a crackhead

Yes! He is funny to no end and he loves doing silly things in order to make his younger members happy! He's mentioned in interviews how he thinks he's a 'grown up', but likes to act like a kid on purpose, but he's not all this. He's also at the same a good person to turn to for advice and the members had even said he's one of the best people to turn to when they need to break the ice. Calling him a crackhead isn't a personality. Trust me, if he heard this or sees this comment, no one's gonna be laughing.

seokjin eomma? pink princess?

Just how you don't know the actual depth to the meaning of the sentences that come out of his mouth if you're an international fan who doesn't speak Korean, this should mean that you don't know the actual depth of the word eomma when you call him that. The term has been so overused, and people automatically assume that being a mother = cooking and cleaning, in which it is not.

Pink princess was once what someone called him during a fanmeet, and Seokjin has openly expressed how he does not like being called this nickname. Stop calling him these names for the sake of respecting him and not letting stereotypes define who BTS are as members and individuals just because of the activities and personalities they show on screen.

seokjin's such a savage! will his weverse comments hurt other armys?

You could have never been more wrong! Seokjin is known in Korea as the 'manner idol', which means he displays great levels of respect and the right amount of manners towards fans and other idols as well. This doesn't stop anywhere at all because his Weverse comments, though translated into a more firm tone, when read by a Korean speaking fan (and also mentioned by translators), Seokjin never forgets to use respectful tones even with his jokes, using honorifics as well if necessary. Some translators even tweet about how they wish they understood how soft-spoken Seokjin is when talking and writing things.

What he wouldn't understand, though, is if someone was calling him a sort of savage or painting him as a mean bully when he's been the opposite. Use your words kindly! If you could take things the wrong way he could probably, too.
